Read the interviewFrom 2018 through early 2026, I wrote a regular blog called Writing A Mystery. Unfortuately, for technical reasons, I had to take it down. I transferred all the posts to this website under "Tips for Authors." But while it was active, my blog achieved a distinction. In a survey of thousands of blogs about mystery writing, ”mine was rated as one of the 90 best, coming in 25th. I still write about writing, and not just mystery writing. It is for all writers of fiction. I discuss what I learn as I continue writing my novels. It is humbling how little I knew about when I started out. My hope is that a little of what I have experiened and learned will be useful for other aspiring writers.
Below is the recognition from Feedspot. The links no longer work because the blog is gone, but all the posts are now on this site (and I continue to post here.)
I wanted to share with you my brief reading from a short story I wrote called "The Portal." If it intrigues you, the story is part of an anthology just out, called "Crescendo Magazine" (on Amazon).
